Why is it so hard to find good people in a downturn

Given the fact that the current global economic meltdown seems to have gone supernova, a lot of people currently tend to ask us the seemingly rhetorical question "must be easy to find people out there at the moment?" Not really...

Australian Anthill pointed out a great link in their last edition - www.academicearth.org - some particularly good video advice from angel / guru / ex Apple guy Guy Kawasaki on how to put together a deck of slides for pitching to potential investors. Check out how to Make a Great Pitch

I get the feeling that this is a really simple but intuitive and very transferable advice for anyone who has do do a lot of pitch presentations. I am interested to know if anyone else has good ideas or even a good story / experience about pitching with .ppt?
